(Undated) — Oppressive heat continues for a third consecutive day across the midstate.
Forecasters say the heat and humidity will combine to make it feel like it’s as hot as 104 degrees today and even hotter throughout the weekend.
A heat advisory will last until 1:00 p.m. tomorrow in Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties. Those same areas will be under an excessive heat watch tomorrow afternoon through Sunday evening.
A heat advisory goes into effect from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. tomorrow in Adams, Cumberland, Franklin, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder and Union counties.
There could be some temporary relief in the form of scattered showers and storms.
Forecasters say the heat wave should break on Monday when a cold front moves through the region.
