(Harrisburg) — The city of Harrisburg has reached a new sanitation deal with the state that will boost revenue by more than $600,000 a year.

The city says the contract is part of an audit of sanitation accounts, and the additional money will be invested into the sanitation department.

All buildings at the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg are a part of the deal, which the city says hadn’t been examined since former Mayor Stephen Reed’s administration.

The contract retroactively took effect April 1.

It’s valued at $77,000 a month.
