(Harrisburg) — People who want to safely dispose of unwanted, expired or unused prescription drugs have a free option this Saturday.

The Pennsylvania State Police are participating in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

Select state police stations will accept the drugs from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon Saturday.

Find a list of places participating here.

The service is anonymous – no questions asked.

In the middle of a drug addiction crisis, disposing of unneeded prescription drugs is considered critical because some people first get their supply of drugs by raiding a family member’s medicine cabinet.
