(Harrisburg) — Daylight Saving Time officially begins at 2am on Sunday.
Turn your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed tonight.
Benjamin Franklin first proposed Daylight Saving Time in 1784, but it wasn’t used in the United States until World War I, as a way to conserve energy.
States can choose not to participate.
Daylight Saving is not observed in Hawaii and in most of Arizona. At least five other states are currently thinking of doing the same.
Standard time, when we “fall back”, resumes on Sunday, November 6th.
