(Undated) — Police in York County say racial slurs were found painted on a concession stand at a Northern School District football field.

Carroll Township Police were called to Bostic football field for a report of the slurs that were found painted on the side of the stand.

The field is located near Northern High School and Middle School.

A staff member discovered graffiti spray painted on the stand Monday morning, according to a statement issued by the school district.

The graffiti was removed by Monday around noon.

The district did not provide further information as the investigation is ongoing.

It described the incident as a “senseless act of vandalism.”

Police asked anyone with information to call them at 717-432-3317 or the York County Office of Emergency Services at 717-854-5571.
