Many millennials skip doctor’s visits, use urgent care, other quick clinics

For many millennials, primary health care providers – like a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant – are a foreign thought.

Instead, getting sick often means a trip to urgent care or a convenience clinic like MinuteClinic or RediClinic.

The health care advocacy group Young Invincibles has been assembling focus groups to learn more about millennials and health care.

WITF’s Ben Allen – a millennial himself – talks with Erin Hemlin, the group’s national training director.
