Graham Packaging HQ to move to Lancaster

(Undated) — Graham Packaging Co. plans to move its headquarters from Springettsbury Township to Lancaster County.
ROCK Commercial Real Estate manages the company’s corporate office at 2401 Pleasant Valley Road, Springettsbury Township, and has put the 86,000-square-foot space up for lease on its website.
Graham Packaging will move out of the space during the next three to nine months, said David Bode, a managing partner at ROCK.
The company’s new corporate office will be 700 Indian Springs Drive, West Hempfield Township, said Jodi Heffner, the zoning and codes enforcement officer at the Lancaster County municipality.
Officials from Graham Packaging didn’t respond to requests for comment.
The move comes as Graham Packaging also plans to close a manufacturing plant in Baltimore, a change that will lay off 79 workers there by June 17, according to a notice filed with Maryland’s labor department.
Eighteen workers at the company’s facility at 210 Kane St. in Baltimore will be laid off April 1-13, the company told the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Another 61 workers will lose their jobs June 3-17.
Graham Packaging makes plastic containers for a wide variety of industries, including the food and beverage and healthcare industries. It is the 24th largest employer in York County, according to the York County Economic Alliance website.
