Smart Talk: March on Harrisburg over budget, Historic cemeteries, Central PA Youth Ballet
What to look for on Smart Talk Friday, October 23, 2015:
A Philadelphia man who works with non-profits is leading a charge to protest Pennsylvania’s 115-day-old state budget stalemate. Lou Kassa says he is fed up with Gov. Tom Wolf and Republican legislative leaders who haven’t been able to reach agreement on several issues, including higher income taxes, a tax on natural gas drillers, liquor privatization and public pension reform.
Kassa is one of many who have pointed out that there has been little public pressure on the two sides to end the impasse. He started a Facebook page last week called Enough is Enough, March on Harrisburg in an effort to rally Pennsylvanians to demand a new budget.

Also, Pennsylvania has hundreds of historic cemeteries. Some of them aren’t maintained very well.
The Pennsylvania Hallowed Ground Project works to do just that. An event is scheduled for Saturday (10 a.m. Reisner Hall) at Shippensburg University called Our Forgotten Cemeteries: The Annual Meeting of the Pennsylvania Hallowed Ground Project.
