(Lancaster) — Lancaster General Health will soon complete the transition to Penn Medicine.

Since state and federal regulators have approved the move, it will become a member of Penn Medicine starting August first.

When first announced in April, LGH said it would not result in any money changing hands, and no jobs would be impacted.

Lancaster General will still have its own board of trustees, with two of the 14 members selected by Penn Medicine.

It also pledges to maintain its committment to the community through donations and initiatives.
