Smart Talk: Local organizations helping Syrian refugees

What to look for on Smart Talk Tuesday, June 16, 2015:
About 11 million Syrians have been forced to flee their homes since the outbreak of the Syrian Civil War four years ago.
More than seven million were displaced within Syria but many have left the country as refugees.
Most went to neighboring countries like Turkey or Jordan, but the United Nations has been calling for western nations, including the United States, to take in more refugees.
Up until now, the U.S. has agreed to receive 10,000 Syrian refugees total.
Some groups believe more Syrian refugees should be admitted to this country and they point out that refugees applying for resettlement are the most carefully examined travelers to the United States.
Several members of Congress oppose more Syrians being allowed into the country after hearing their constituents say they fear would-be terrorists would be imported.
