Smart Talk: Injured workers return with modified jobs?; Blind Expo
What to look for on Smart Talk Monday, June 1, 2015:
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says there were about three million non-fatal injuries and illnesses reported by private industry employers in 2013.
Many of them resulted in worker compensation claims — something that can become expensive for employers.
The Eastern Alliance Insurance Group, who sells workers comp insurance products, are now offering their employer clients a program called “ecovery Return to Wellness” that they say is a “win-win” for employers and injured workers.
The program’s main component is getting injured workers back on the job with modified duties.
Workers’ Compensation can be controversial.
