(Harrisburg) — A little more than one year ago, Bishop Ronald Gainer took over as the leader of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg.

Since then, he’s pledged to focus more on the poor, but also made national news for a controversial policy.

In a sit-down interview with WITF, Bishop Gainer stood by his decision about male and female wrestlers at Catholic schools, and says the Church needs to ask people to return to the pews, not change it’s message.
