Students from Washington’s “School without Walls” lie down on Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House in Washington, Wednesday, Dec. 17, after walking out of class to participate in a “die-in.” The students chanted “Hands up, Don’t Shoot,” as part of their protest against shootings by police.
(Harrisburg) — A group of people are planning to hold a “die-in” Saturday afternoon in Lancaster.
Black Lives Matter 717 says clergy and educators will join in starting at 12:35 at Park City Center.
They plan to lie on the ground for four and a half minutes, to mark the four and a half hours Michael Brown’s body lay in the street after getting shot in Ferguson, Missouri.
Brown, a black teenager, was shot by white police officer Darren Wilson in August.
