(York) — York County will briefly transfer its 911 dispatching to a backup facility Sunday to upgrade the electrical system at its main facility.

The changes will allow for uninterrupted service at the Emergency Services Center, even if a blackout hits.

Calls will be transferred to the backup center starting at six Sunday morning, with work expected to wrap up around four in the afternoon.

Callers should not be impacted by the work.
