(Harrisburg) —Dauphin County is cutting twelve jobs as it outsources preparation of food delivered through Meals on Wheels.

The contract with a York County company starting Dec. 1 will save about $300,000 a year.

Workers can apply for jobs with Nutrition Group, or try to find jobs with the county.

It was one of fewremainingcounties in Pennsylvania that had not outsourced its senior meals program.

Dauphin County will also sell its kitchen facility and its equipment, plus seven trucks used to distribute food.
