I-83 North near Exit 40A goes to 1 lane Wed. and Thurs.

(Harrisburg) — PennDOTmaintenance crews will be making repairs on Wednesday and Thursday, July 16and17, to a parallel drainage pipe along northbound Interstate 83 insoutheasternCumberland County, just north of the Yellow Breeches Creek. The Creek crosses I-83 just north of Exit 40A.

Motorists areadvised that I-83 N will be restricted to a single lane between 9a.m.and 2 p.m. on each day. I-83 is heavilytraveledand significant trafficbackups and travel delays are anticipated due to this single-lane trafficrestriction. Motorists may want to consider seeking alternate routes andallowing additional time in their travel plans in order to avoid delays.

Motorists are also asked to be alert to this operation and to slow downwhenapproaching and traveling through the work zone, for their safety as wellasfor the safety of the work crews.
