Dauphin County prison on lockdown

(Harrisburg) –Dauphin County Prison is in lockdown, as of 8:45 a.m. today, when facility staff discovered that a piece of metal was missing from a block.
Visitation is canceled for today and will be restricted until the lockdown is lifted. During a lockdown, inmates must remain in their cells.
No injuries to inmates or employees have been reported.
The lockdown will remain in effect until a thorough search of the prison has been conducted to ensure the safety and security of the inmates, prison employees and visitors.
