Children from Dauphin, Lancaster and York counties, plus the Pittsburgh area are all attending the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair that wraps up today.

“This whole experience has really solidified my love for science and it just makes me want to take my research to the next level and continue researching. It made me fall in love with research so it’s been an awesome opportunity,”Jenny Eurich goes to Elizabethtown High School in Lancaster County.

Through her research of a genetic disorder affecting Amish infants, she found folic acid levels were much higher in those infants suffering seizures than those who didn’t have the issue.

She plans to major in biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University.

More than 1,700 students attended the fair.
