The Districts

They first got together in 2009 and were playing shows at a burrito shop in Lancaster City, but now Lititz-based band The Districts are doing bigger shows, they played at Xponential Music Festival and they just recently signed with Fat Possum Records.

From their humble beginnings to the whirlwind surrounding the band, singer and guitarist Rob Grote says that they’re just happy to be traveling, openings for the bands they love and to be doing all this with a group of guys who have been friends since high school.

This Friday they’ll be opening up for Dr. Dog at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, and their recent performance at Tellus360 in Lancaster can be heard this Saturday night at 8pm on Center Stageon WITF 89.5 FM.
