The papal conclave begins tomorrow in Vatican City. 115 cardinals will lock themselves inside the Sistine Chapel and attempt to select the new Catholic spiritual leader.
There is no obvious favorite to ascend to the papacy. Though it would be unlikely, the cardinals could pick a pope on the very first ballot on the first afternoon. In recent conclaves, it has taken at least two days of balloting to select a pope.
