As your public media organization, WITF is committed to providing cultural and educational experiences for a lifetime of learning.

Today we’re proud to introduce a new and exciting partnership for our region; one that will open a door to literacy opportunities for children across Central Pennsylvania. WITF and the non-profit organization First Book will be working together to help provide books to students and schools where they are critically needed.

First Book is a national organization with a regional chapter based at Millersville University. They work with many major publishers and local educators to see that age and skill level appropriate books are distributed to K through 12th grade students across Central Pennsylvania.

You can play an important role in this initiative for our children, as well. With every contribution WITF receives of $52, or more, we’ll see that a book is placed in the hands of a child that wants and needs it. Your financial support of WITF will not only help us to continue the educational media services you’ve come to rely upon, but you’ll also inspire the intellect of a child with the gift of a new book.

Make a significant difference for the quality of life in our region with a call to 1-900-233-9483. Your participation will be greatly appreciated and will allow us to continue enriching lives together, thanks.

WITF wants to thank our good friends from Wegmans and Borders Books for their partnership in making our fundraising effort and support for the Central PA Food Bank a tremendous success.

Wegmans has pledged 20,000 pounds of food to be delivered in time for Thanksgiving distribution. Borders will further support WITF on their designated Benefit Days, November 21st  and 22nd.

And of course WITF wants to thank our most reliable source of funding, individual annual donors. You make everything we do possible.

Each Thanksgiving, we gather together to show gratitude for the many blessings in our lives. At this special time of year you can make a difference for WTIF with a contribution, and each dollar you donate will be matched with a pound of food, from our partners at Wegmans, to support the Central PA Food Bank.

Thursday, November 12th will be a day to think about how together we can continue enriching lives with quality public media and lend a helping hand for so many others in need.

Last year, you made it possible to deliver 9 tons of food to be distributed across the region. Once again on November 12th we ask that you will participate as we share in a gift for the season.

borders_logoAs a special thank you all donors that make a contribution at any level will receive a 10% discount coupon to use at any regional Borders Store on their benefit days, November 21 and 22. With each coupon redeemed WITF will be the beneficiary of additional support.

Please, make a vital difference Thursday, November 12, thanks.
