Meet the Host

Heather Muha
Host, WITF-TV HealthSmart

Heather Muha is proud to be the host of HealthSmart...but she spends an even greater amount of time behind the camera. Heather is also the writer and producer for the series as well as WITF's Short Form Journalism topics and a reporter for Smart Talk.

Heather was born and raised in Indiana, where she attended Purdue University and received a B.A. in Telecommunications. While at Purdue, she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority and the Golduster Dance Team.

After college, Heather began her career as a Segment Producer for WXIN-TV in Indianapolis. She also filled in as an entertainment reporter and traveled frequently to Los Angeles and New York to interview celebrities. Heather made her live reporting debut on Fox 59 Morning News where she launched the upbeat series, "How Cool Is Your School."

Having spent her whole life in the Midwest, she loves seeing new faces and visiting new places here in Pennsylvania.

When Heather is not at work, she plays competitive volleyball, runs, rollerblades - pretty much anything athletic and outdoors! She just completed her first triathlon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training.

Heather is also a big advocate for animal adoption and rescue and couldn't imagine her world without her "purebred mutt", Sady.
