Ask the men sitting around the conference table: What do you want the world to know about autism?
“Two words,” says Nathan Geyer. “Special gift.”
Geyer, who will insist several times tonight that he’s not good with words, continues. “I use the word ‘gift’ because it’s a curse and a blessing at the same time. I wrote an article for a brochure. I always like to twist words around and try different meanings. ‘Anything’s possible.’ That’s kinda boring to me. The converse of that is that nothing is impossible, only implausible.”
