Joanna is a 7th grader from Lamberton Middle School, Carlisle Area School District.

 

She will join spellers from around the world at the 83rd Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., May 31 – June 6, 2010.

157 students tested their spelling skills Sunday, January 31st at the Public Media Center.  With intense concentration, they each completed a 100-word written exam with hopes of advancing to the finals - WITF's Central PA Grand Championship Spelling Bee.
