WITF is launching the PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest, a national competition designed to promote the advancement of children’s reading skills through hands-on, active learning.  The effort encourages children in grades K-3 in Central Pennsylvania and communities across the country, to celebrate the power of creating stories and illustrations by submitting their own original stories and illustrations. 

Central PA magazine is asking residents of Central Pennsylvania to submit entries for the 2010 Central PA Writing Contest. Three winning entries will be awarded cash prizes: $500 for first prize, $300 for second prize and $200 for third prize.
